I have a lot of interests, so this is just a place for me to collect and show off some of the things I've worked on like metal maps and art. This is the 3rd time I've completely recreated this site in 3 years, so it's an ongoing work in progress.

Metal Maps

This is a screenshot of a D3 map created with data from Encyclopedia Metallum showing band connections via band members in common. This network graph's starting origin was the band Dissection. As a lover of metal, I started making these when I first started learning Python years ago. I made a lot and have kept them around for fun, though I have since used all the data collected for larger projects using networkx and various visualization libraries. Check them out

My Art

I've loved making art since I was 5, and I actually abandoned art not once but twice in college, but still feel the same compulsion to create. I work in a variety of media, often combining them:

acrylic
watercolor
pen/ink
graphite/charcoal
hard pastel
clay (sculpture)
digital (not AI-based)

(I have also sold my art--officially making me a professional artist--and even tried my hand at Etsy many, many years ago, and briefly listed a few pieces recently but decided it wasn't the right platform, but did start curating a portfolio again.

And I also dabble in things I'd call crafts (like sewing and the sorts of projects that involve hot glue) and then do other things like making coffee table tops with paint and resin and little interactive things (creating enclosures for, assemblings pieces, and programming with Arduino and Raspberry Pi).
